Raybestos Breaks '71 Camaro Sweepstakes

Valspar Automotive Contributes to Raybestos Brakes Camaro

MINNEAPOLIS — Valspar Automotive announces its cooperation with Raybestos Brakes on the 1971 Raybestos Camaro build that will be given away to one lucky winner. Valspar Automotive provided high-quality DeBeer Refinish products to give the vehicle its stunning red and black finish. The Raybestos sweepstakes runs from June 1, 2014, to September 15, 2014.

The vehicle was painted by The Paint Spot in Addison, Illinois, and built by Schwartz Performance in Woodstock, Illinois. Features on the Camaro include a 650+ horsepower Schwartz-modified, GM LS3 V8 engine with SLP supercharger, mated to a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, and severe-duty Moser 9-inch rear axle. Effectively delivering all of that power to the ground will be the responsibility of Schwartz’s proprietary "G-Machine" custom-fabricated chassis: a bolt-in, high-performance, fully engineered modern suspension upgrade for vintage uni-bodied muscle cars. Raybestos Brakes has provided new Element3 brake pads featuring Enhanced Hybrid Technology.

"The DeBeer finishes perform flawlessly allowing me to attain the impressive outcome you see today." said Vince Thornberry, painter, The Paint Spot.
