Valspar opens state-of-the-art Business & Technical Centre in Lelystad, the Netherlands

LELYSTAD – Valspar Automotive has opened a new Business & Technical Centre in Lelystad. The car refinish manufacturer offers car refinishers a company-wide range of training courses at this centre; from technical and colour training courses to courses on sales, marketing and organisation. Users of Valspar brands such as DeBeer Refinish, Octoral and Valspar Industrial Mix (VIM) can use the new centre’s modern facilities.

About 200 customers, suppliers and employees attended the spectacular opening of the Business & Technical Centre (BTC). The official opening was in the good hands of Carl Wierks, Vice President Global Automotive, who directed a colourful fireworks display. All those who attended were then given a tour of the new building. At the heart of the BTC is a state-of-the-art spraying booth that meets all technical and sustainability requirements. The spraying booth is surrounded by several classrooms for practical and theoretical training sessions. The colourful furnishing and comfortable layout will serve as an inspiration for the students coming here from dozens of countries for their training. The BTC is equipped with every imaginable multimedia, communication and presentation tool.

Knowledge and support
The Business & Technical Centre crystallises Valspar Automotive’s ambition to support customers by sharing knowledge and skills across the board. Developments in the automotive sector have resulted in car refinishers facing an increasing number of questions and demands. A company’s success depends on whether or not it has a thorough knowledge of colour and, in particular, colour determination. Valspar shares its more than a century of colour and car refinish experience with its customers, thereby helping them to work more efficiently and increase their operating profit.
